Allen Brothers Preserve Pheasant Shoot

Ron and Joe Allen graciously provided a pheasant tower hunt at Allen Brothers Preserve in Bladenboro on December 12, for 18 wounded warriors and their families. They were treated to a pig pickin, to include home made deserts provided by the "ladies of bladenboro." We had some special operations paratroopers perform a skydiving demonstration that morning. Prior to leaving Fayetteville for this trip, the group met at the Airborne and Special Operations Museum where they were treated to coffee and pastries provided by Fayetteville Cares Joanne Chavonne, and Mayor Tony Chavonne. The Bladenboro community came out to greet these soldiers, and seemed to be very moved by this event, and the fact it was taking place in their town.
